A few advantages to buying a home toward the end of the year.
Does it make more sense to move at the end of the year or at the beginning? There are some advantages to moving now instead of waiting until 2023, and I’m here to share those with you.
Anyone who decides to move in the fourth quarter is doing that because they need to. The holidays are already stressful, and buying or selling a home only makes it worse. The people in the market during this time are motivated, and that’s important for you.
As a seller, you want people to see your property and make offers. You don’t want to compete against as many homes, so it makes sense to sell during the fourth quarter. As a buyer, know that sellers are motivated to sell, so you’re more likely to get a great deal.
On top of that, if you make your move now, you can buy a home at our current rates. If you wait until next year, you’re betting that rates won’t rise, which is risky. Remember, you marry the home but date the rate. If rates come down later, you can always refinance.
